Wplace Paint Tool Plan Every PIXEL.
A free, browser-based pixel art editor made for the template wars on wplace.live. Sketch your emblem here, export a crisp transparent PNG, and paste your empire onto the map — pixel by pixel. No account. No install. Nothing leaves your machine.
01 Stamp library
Steal these pixels
Four CC0 starter stamps. Click one and it drops straight into the editor above — recolor it, extend it, claim it. That's what they're for.
// LOADED STAMPS LAND CENTERED ON YOUR CANVAS — DRAW OVER THEM, THEY'RE YOURS NOW
02 Features
Built for template war
Every feature exists because someone, somewhere, lost territory without it.
Overlay-native export
PNG at 1× native or 16× share-ready, straight from the canvas — ready for Wplace template settings or your faction board.
True transparency
Unpainted pixels stay transparent — exactly how a template overlay should behave. Paint only what you mean to defend.
Symmetry mode
Mirror-X for emblems, flags and mechs. Draw one half, get the other half free — the oldest trick in pixel art, still the best.
Autosave + 60-step undo
Your canvas lives in this browser's storage and reloads right where you left it. Ctrl+Z walks you back up to 60 moves.
Keyboard-first
B pencil, E eraser, F fill, G grid, X symmetry. Keep one hand on the keyboard like a proper pixel mercenary.
Nothing leaves your machine
No uploads, no accounts, no analytics. Once the page loads, it works with your internet unplugged. Try it.
03 Field guide
Four steps to the map
Draw
Sketch in the editor or drop in a stamp. Symmetry for flags, freehand for chaos. Autosave has your back.
Export
EXPORT ×16 for a share-ready PNG, ×1 to keep it native. Transparent pixels stay transparent.
Overlay
Host the PNG anywhere with direct links, paste the URL into Wplace's template settings, set opacity to taste.
Defend
Share one link with your faction. When everyone paints the same reference, every pixel lands on-model — and stays defended.
04 The palette
WPT-20
Twenty colors that behave on a world map — enough range to paint anything, few enough to keep your faction's art coherent. Click a swatch, then set it as your brush.

05 FAQ
Asked constantly
Q.01Is this the official Wplace tool?
No. Wplace Paint Tool is an independent, fan-made companion. It isn't affiliated with or endorsed by wplace.live — we just really like placing pixels.
Q.02Is it really free?
Completely. No account, no paywall, no "pro" colors. The tool and its starter stamps are public domain (CC0) — do whatever you want with them.
Q.03Where do my drawings go?
Nowhere. Your canvas is saved in your browser's localStorage and nothing is ever uploaded. Clearing site data erases it — so export a PNG of anything you love.
Q.04What canvas size should I pick?
Start at 32×32. Small art survives faction wars better than murals. Go 48 only when your territory — and your alliance — can hold it.
Q.05How do I use the export on the Wplace map?
Export a PNG, host it anywhere that gives direct links (imgur, catbox, your own site), then paste the URL into Wplace's template overlay settings. Your art appears right under the crosshair.
Q.06Does it work on phones?
Yes — draw with your finger, every tool works on touch. Bring a stylus for the fine details, and maybe a charger.
The map won't wait.
Your faction is already sketching somewhere. The canvas above is still open, still autosaved, still yours.
